About ELC Club
The Electoral Literacy Club (ELC), Jubbal is an initiative of the institute to spread election awareness and democratic values among students. The club functions under the guidance of the Election Commission of India with the aim of creating informed, responsible, and ethical voters for the future.
Objectives of the Club
- To educate students about democracy and the Indian electoral system
- To promote voter registration among eligible students
- To encourage ethical voting practices
- To develop civic sense and leadership qualities
- To spread awareness about voter rights and duties
Activities Conducted
- Voter awareness programs and seminars
- Mock elections and debates
- Poster making, slogan writing & quiz competitions
- Celebration of National Voters’ Day (25th January)
- Workshops on EVM and VVPAT
